A new pro–Donald Trump superPAC, Rebuilding America Now, is out with an attack ad hittingHillary Clinton that will begin running nationally this week.
The hard-hitting ad links Hillary Clinton’s private email use to the Monica Lewinsky scandal. The ad, titled “Hillary Clinton: More of the Same,” intercuts two press conferences: one with Hillary Clinton from August 2015 in which she discussed her use of a private email address and server for State Department correspondence and one with Bill Clinton in January 1998 in which he responded to allegations that he had sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky.
“We turned over everything,” Hillary Clinton says in the ad. “I did not send classified material, and I did not receive any material that was marked or designated classified.”
Bill Clinton says in the commercial that he “never told anybody to lie” and that “these allegations are false.” He famously said at that press conference, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman,” but that quote is not used in the ad.
